SFT

Amigos,
hoje recebi um email de um estudante mexicano do SFT - Student for a Free Tibet. Aproveito esse espaço para reproduzir e divulgar o email:

"Right now, if you have heard the news or read the international news papers, the situation in Tibet is precarious and we need all the help that the international community can give us. If you heard the news you will know that last monday on March 10th thousands of Tibetans around the globe went into the streets to show their solidarity with Tibetans. Every MArch 10th Tibetans celebrate the National Uprising Day, this is the day that on 1949 Tibetans rose up against the Chinese to fight for their country. This year, last monday 10th March 2008, the situation gave a sudden turn as we leaned that Tibetans inside Tibet ACTUALLY rose up againts the chinese just like it happened 50 years ago. Tibetans inside Tibet have been holding a series of protests since last monday. Until now, we account for 80 wounded and 30 Tibetans dead. We, in the Tibetan Freedom movement are in a state of alert and emergency, WE NEED all the help every one can give. Please watch the following video taken inside of Lhasa by one of the most recognized journalists http://youtube.com/watch?v=2FtB_P-uWZI this video was filmed last friday. What we need right now and I am sure that you can help us with this for a start:1) We need to collect and send all petitions to world leaders to make a public statement about what is happening in Tibet right now, you'll find the electronic petition under the following link: http://actionnetwork.org/campaign/tibet_IOC2) Join Team Tibet as a sign of support and solidarity with Tibetans inside and outside Tibet, they need all the support we can give them right now and the more, the better, also if you can pass the link on and ask your friends and family to join the team as well: http://www.supportteamtibet.org/supporter
3) Inform your fellow students, family and friends about the situation in Tibet, possibly organize small candle light vigils to show your support and solidarity with Tibetans fighting againts the Chinese rule inside Tibet."

Conto com vocês.
